I could give you a laundry list of my qualifications., but that is not what is going to tell you who I am and why you want to practice with me. So, I’ll start by sharing a bit about my own journey and see where it takes us.

I have always been intrigued by meditation, energy, and the mind. As a child I would pretend that my super power was being able to move things with my mind. That if I just focused hard enough that things would move as I wished. I am still working on this.

Fast forward to my early twenties when I started to be more serious about yoga and meditation. I began to study the philosophy behind the practice. I was hooked. I have studied and practiced now for about 30 years. I am still learning and still working on moving things with my mind.

Throughout this journey I have gained a very clear picture of how I can help our world. It is through the teaching of meditation and how yoga works from the energetic perspective.

Meditation is not an easy path. It takes discipline and patience. I learned how to sit with myself, my thoughts, my emotions, and all the stories that I had about my life. I learned how to engage with the energy using the breath to deepen my practice.

I am here because I have put in the work. I know what it is like to sit through anger, impatience, feeling like a failure, feeling peaceful, happy, and content. I know that the reward of a meditation practice is glimmers of peace. It is feeling content. It is having more patience. It is the ability to pause in a heated moment.

Who am i? Someone that knows that this practice is not hearts and flowers and is not going to pretend otherwise. I am here to sit with you. To listen and offer guidance. I am here with patience and compassion for this practice. I am here to say you can do this and I’ll show you how.

Did you want the list? I saved it for you just in case….
